Welcome centers occupy a unique position in public architecture. They are the first built environment a visitor encounters, and they carry the responsibility of representing an entire community in a single structure. Jeff Lewis AIA approached the Dillon Welcome Center with that in mind, delivering a facility that is welcoming, functional, and reflective of the pride Dillon takes in its place along South Carolina's highways.
